Panel discussions:
How to achieve balanced bilateral trade with increasing restrictions in trade and growing protectionism? What are the overall perspectives for Norwegian-Russian business cooperation? What could or should be the priorities of the CCIs of Russia, NRCC and other organizations that aim to strengthen bilateral business cooperation? The panellists will answer these and other questions and share their views on existing business development opportunities, potential for cooperation in the Arctic and other topics of mutual interest.

Speakers will discuss both ongoing cooperation and potential new areas for collaboration and as well logistics solutions in the High North. Research and development for sustainable production, possibilities for the service and supply industry with new and cutting-edge expertise will be discussed. Harsh weather conditions in the Russian and Norwegian High North, strict national and international legislation and the high standards required by O & G operators call for adequate approach in the whole values chain, that also includes appropriate standards within infrastructure development and environment protection. Effective utilization of the resource potential is an important basis for the competitiveness of the supply industry. Both the Norwegian Continental Shelf and the Barents Sea are among the world’s largest offshore markets, providing activities for local and international suppliers and a basis for employment within all stages of the value chain.

Q&A session and possible contributions from front row participants.

Speakers will inform about challenges and opportunities related to the ongoing renewal and modernization program of the Russian fishing fleet and will outline the possibilities for collaboration in construction and repairs of the fleet. The moderators will divert focus on perspectives for local content and localization of maritime vessel equipment. There will also be an open dialogue on issues related to research, development of ship technologies, engineering, project financing and the latest inventions within green-ship thinking and hybrid propulsion. Participants will learn about success stories presented and discuss how to stimulate the development of maritime industrial cooperation between Norway and Russia as discussed in the bilateral Working Group for Shipbuilding in May this year.

Speakers will outline the existing bilateral business cooperation and the possibilities for improved business dialogue within the Aqua sector. Both sea and land-based aquaculture will be given significant focus. The State program of the Russian Federation aims to increase aquaculture production and is presently searching for new formats in their cooperation with Norway. Norwegian aquaculture experience, management and technological solutions are competitive in international markets. The task is to develop win-win models for cooperation within the sector. The session will also focus on research, development of fish farm technologies, engineering, project financing and the latest inventions within both sea and land-based farming.
